Giant sinkhole opens near Forest Junction

One man found out the hard way the strength of rushing water. He had no idea that the road he takes to work was washed out. Flash flooding in Calumet County turned creeks into fast-moving rivers. A part of Cemetery Rd. near Forest Junction could not stand up to the muddy waters and washed way. The road continued to fall into the hole while FOX 11 Meteorologist Doug Higgins was standing there. A couple of hours earlier, the giant sinkhole nearly swallowed a man and his truck.
