Police: Man led officers on chase, crashed into car

A man was arrested after leading Melbourne police on a chase and then crashing into another car. The accident happened at the intersection of Lipscomb Street and Palm Bay Road Thursday night. Police said they tried to pull the suspect, 19-year-old Cedric Bethel, over because he was wanted on several felony warrants. They said he took off and blew through a red light and wasT-boned by another car. Bethel still managed to run from his mangled car, but police eventually caught up with him. Police said Bethel was subdued by a stun gun and tackled to the ground. Bethel was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center and treated.
