Woman involved in Amtrak train wreck listed in ’serious condition’

Officials with the Medical University of South Carolina say the woman whose Jeep was struck by an Amtrak train Tuesday is listed in "serious condition." According to an official with Amtrak Public Relations, Train 90 was headed from Savannah to New York when it struck the Bonneau woman’s vehicle at the intersection of Nursery Court Lane and Highway 52 around 1:30 p.m. Officials with South Carolina Highway Patrol say the woman was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee on Nursery Court and when she attempted to cross the tracks. The Jeep was struck by the train.
