The Sunshine State’s lawsuit climate isn’t the brightest in the nation. In fact, it’s among the worst in the nation, according to a new national survey released Monday by the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform. Florida’s lawsuit climate ranked No. 41 out of 50, the report shows. Of those surveyed, seven out of 10 businesses said a state’s lawsuit environment is likely to impact their decision to relocate or expand their business — a 13 percent increase compared to results five years ago.
