Train cars holding construction debris derailed in Berkshires

Several train cars carrying construction debris derailed early Tuesday morning in the southern Berkshire County town of Sheffield. Police Chief Eric Munson told 22News that six or seven cars tipped over just north of Lime Kiln Road around 1:15 A.M. The train, traveling on the Housatonic Railroad line, was heading toward Pittsfield, Munson said. It was carrying construction materials, like sheetrock and pieces of metal.
