Good Samaritans pull driver from creek

Hampton crews worked to pull a vehicle from New Market Creek following a crash Wednesday morning. Cpl. Mary Shackelford with the Hampton Police Division said the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. at Lasalle Avenue and West Mercury Boulevard. A vehicle was traveling southbound on Lasalle Avenue when it left the roadway and went into the creek. Two nearby residents pulled the only occupant in the vehicle to safety.
