4-alarm fire at Md. Salvation Army store causes $500,000 in damage

A 4-alalrm fire has heavily damaged the Salvation Army store in Cambridge. The blaze broke out about 1 p.m. Monday. Customers told employees about the fire and everyone escaped safely.More than 125 firefighters from four counties battled the blaze for almost three hours. Officials say the fire heavily damaged a 2-story section that held furniture and unoccupied apartments on the second floor.
