A construction worker was rushed to the hospital after falling about 100 feet near the MGM Grand hotel-casino, authorities said. Las Vegas Metro police reported the call of the incident coming in at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday. Police said security for the Las Vegas Strip property responded to the person who was found lying on the ground. The worker, whose condition was not immediately disclosed, was transported to University Medical Center Trauma, police said. A friend of the worker told FOX5, though, the contractor sustained a broken shoulder, leg and a collapsed lung and is in stable condition.
