At least eight people were injured when scaffolding collapsed at a North Carolina high school where an addition to the school was under construction. According to McDowell County 911 officials, the collapse happened at McDowell High School in Marion just after 10:19 a.m. on Monday morning. Officials said the scaffolding collapsed at an addition under construction at the high school. According to McDowell Countys Emergency Medical Service Director William Kehler, eight workers fell 35-40 feet in the collapse.
