Driver walks away from crash after car ripped in two

WNEM.com has learned that authorities were on the scene of a two-car crash that occurred in Bridgeport Township around 10 a.m. Friday.A caller told TV5 there were "lots of police" at the scene on Gretchen Street and Dixie Highway. Authorities said the two cars collided, leaving one basically cut in two. One man was able to walk away from the crash after his car was torn in half. The cause of the crash is not immediately clear, and the driver of the other car, a red Pontiac Grand Prix, was taken to an area hospital. A person identifying themselves as the man’s niece said via Facebook that the car he was driving was a Ford Mustang.
