Two charged in electrocution death at Houston hotel pool

Charges have been filed against two suspects wanted in the death of a man following an incident at 9999 Westheimer about 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 31. The suspects, Jason Joseph Gorczyca, 35, and James Ray Pyle, 34, are charged with criminal negligent homicide in the 208th State District Court. The victim, Raul Hernandez, 27, of Richmond, was pronounced dead on Sept. 6. Neither suspect is in custody. HPD Homicide Division Sgt. M. Holbrook and Officer I. Duplechain reported: Mr. Hernandez was swimming with his family at the Hilton hotel pool at the above addresss. At dusk, the pool lights came on and people in the pool began to complain of being shocked.
