Medley police are looking for some very jittery thieves. A large batch of energy drinks valued at about $500,000 was stolen from a modern warehouse that opened just a few months ago in the industrial city of Medley, authorities said Friday. The theft of nearly 100 pallets of the popular drink Red Bull took place between the night of Saturday, Nov. 9, and the morning of Monday, Nov. 11, when employees of the warehouse of OHL Inc. found the door locks open and discovered the large theft, according to Medley Police Department. Medley police Detective Lourdes Muñiz said the thieves had a key to the business and disconnected the alarm system, which is remotely monitored by a security company. “When the workers arrived in the morning, they found that the alarms had been disconnected,” Muñiz said.
