Scottsbluff Public Schools has settled a lawsuit involving a parent suing the district after her children were involved in a “huffing” incident. A Scottsbluff parent had filed suit against the Scottsbluff Public Schools in January 2013, claiming her children had suffered lasting effects after being exposed to intoxicants during an incident at an after-school program. The incident happened Feb. 23, 2011, at Westmoor Elementary School when an employee allegedly engaged children, including the parents two children, in inhaling substances from whipped cream and cans of a substance used to clean electronics.
