A Long Island woman was just trying to park when a huge sinkhole opened before her, nearly swallowing her car whole around 1 p.m. Friday. Gail Sorrentino, 65, had pulled into her driveway when all of a sudden her white, four-door Subaru plunged through the pavement. “I just went to park my car in the spot where I always park it, on the apron of the driveway, and the ground fell out from under me,” Sorrentino said. “I guess cause Im short and small I ended up standing up, I didnt hit anything.”
