Tucson police are searching for a man who brought his Chihuahua with him to rob a bank.

Police said the man approached a Chase Bank teller in a Fry’s grocery store at about 10 a.m. Friday and placed a shopping basket containing a white Chihuahua puppy on the counter. The man demanded money from two bank tellers and received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing with his dog, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. Dugan said the robber did not display a weapon and no one was injured.
