Icy roads cause 9 car crash in Chicago

A nine-vehicle crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side sent four people to the hospital. The nine vehicles crashed about 4:15 a.m. on northbound Dan Ryan lanes near 47th Street because of icy road conditions, Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Rodney Collins said.
Two people were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious-to-critical condition, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Juan Hernandez said.
