$70,000 worth of iPads stolen from Chicago West Side school

Burglars smashed windows of a West Side elementary school and nabbed 141 iPads valued at more than $70,000 early on Memorial Day. It happened just before 1 a.m. at Charles Hughes Elementary School in the 4200 block of West 15th in North Lawndale, according to police.
Police were told at least two people shattered the glass of a window on the south side of the building. Police found another shattered window in a second-story room with safes strewn about, according to a police report.
