Purse-snatcher showed up at house, attacked man, rammed SUV through garage door

Police are looking for a man they say snatched a woman’s purse, showed up at her home, attacked her son and ran her SUV through a closed garage door to seal it. Police are looking for the public’s help finding the thief — and the vehicle he stole. Friday evening at about 5:37 p.m., a 58-year-old Franklin Township woman called 911 to report that her purse was snatched from her while she was exiting a supermarket at the Somerset Plaza in Franklin Township, county Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano said in a joint statement with prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives Timothy Fitzgerald and Chief of Police Lawrence Roberts.
