Last months’ severe weather has hit Coloradans in the wallet and insurance companies are reporting claims in the thousands. Mark Mercer and his daughter Kaitlyn spent Sunday getting the price tag on their hail damage from last month’s storms. “The hail that was coming down, it was pretty severe,” Mercer said. He was caught on the freeway during the May hail storm. “I tried to get under one of the underpasses on C-470 but everyone had already beat me to it,” Mercer said.
