Numerous Minn. House Fires Reported, Lightning May be to Blame

Numerous house fires were reported overnight, and initial reports indicate that at least some of them could have been caused by lightning strikes. Three houses on the 17000 block of Foliage Avenue in Lakeville caught fire early Thursday morning, and crews are still on the scene. KSTP Reporter Katherine Johnson said two of the houses are across the street from each other and the third house is about six houses up the street. The gas meters were on fire at all three houses, Katherine reports.
