Woman Narrowly Escapes Tragedy On Freeway After She’s Hit By Flying Wrench

A Glendora woman is recovering from a near certain tragedy when the car she was driving in on the 605 Freeway was struck by a flying wrench. The incident happened Friday evening in Irwindale. KCAL9′s Brittney Hopper spoke to the woman on Saturday evening. It’s a story Only On CBS2 and KCAL9. Priscilla Araiza says she saw a silver object come toward her as she was driving. The damage to her car is obvious. But Araiza told Hopper it could have been much worse. The Glendora woman said she was driving along with two passengers in the freeway’s 2nd lane — going about 65 miles per hour —when a wrench came flying through her windshield.
