Texas Trooper Injured While Working Accident Scene

A Spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety has identified a trooper who was injured in an accident Wednesday night on Interstate 10 at FM 1136. The spokesperson said Trooper Kimberly Ousman, 22, was legally parked partially in the inside eastbound lane of IH-10 with her patrol unit emergency lights activated. Trooper Ousman was assisting a driver that had spun out of control due to recent rain. That driver’s car came to rest facing westbound in the eastbound lanes of IH-10.
