New York Woman Collected $20K in Workers’ Comp Fraud

A Yonkers woman is facing felony charges after police said she collected more than $20,000 in workers’ compensation benefits while employed. Victoria Bennett, 33, was charged with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and third-degree grand larceny, felonies. State police said Tuesday they had received a complaint from the state Department of Labor Special Investigation Division. Bennett was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear Sept. 17 in Yonkers City Court.
