Man Charged with Arson in Alabama House Fire

A man suspected of starting a fire that displaced a family of six is in custody, Birmingham police say. Percy Iverson, 46, is charged with first degree arson and six counts of attempted murder. The fire broke out at a home in the 500 block of Antwerp Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A neighbor called 911 and the fire was put out in about 15 minutes. "So me, my mom and my brother ran up the hill to my auntie’s house and that’s when we saw the house. Three adults and three children lived in the home and were all able to make it outside without any injuries.
