Fire Damages Multiple New Jersey Apartments

Firefighters battled a fire at the Somers Point Apartments in Atlantic County early Monday. It broke out before 5:00 a.m. Monday at the facility in the unit block of Mays Landing Road. Fire officials tell Action News the multi-alarm fire caused a partial roof collapse in one of the buildings. Eight apartments were damaged. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Fire crews say a fire wall stopped the blaze from spreading even further.
