Dump Truck Overturns On Florida Interchange

A dump truck overturned on Interstate 95 near Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale, Monday. The accident happened on the ramp connecting southbound I-95 to westbound I-595, just before 12 p.m. Florida Highway Patrol and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the scene and closed the ramp for hours until a large load of rocks and dirt were cleared from the scene. Drivers were encouraged to take the eastbound I-595 ramp and turn around to continue westbound. The driver of the truck was treated on the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
