Vehicle Slams Into Florida Restaurant

A car slammed into a building in Hallandale Beach, Wednesday for the third time in 30 years. The elderly driver crashed into Padrino’s Restaurant, located at 2500 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd. at around 2:20 p.m., claiming she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. One person said the woman told paramedics she did not know what happened. "She was okay," said witness Bruce Byrd. "She wasn’t injured or anything. She was shaken up and shocked like you can imagine."
