 Friday, December 12, 2014

 FOX 13

A Madeira Beach city employee had a medical issue while driving a garbage collection truck, sending it straight into Gulf waters Thursday. It happened behind the Shoreline Resort at 14200 Gulf Boulevard, around 12:20 p.m. The vehicle veered toward the water, and hit a USF research truck parked on the beach, the sheriff’s office says. It then nearly hit a beach cabana and several nearby beachgoers. The truck went into the water and began sinking into the surf. Two people rushed to rescue the driver, 51-year-old Lawrence White.
