Three out of the four drivers involved in a chain of collisions in the Point Loma area Thursday were hospitalized, police said. The collisions at Atascadero Drive and Nimitz Boulevard were reported at 5:19 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali. A 26-year-old man driving a 2008 Chevrolet shuttle van north on Nimitz Boulevard turned left at Atascadero Drive and hit a southbound 2006 Ford 500 sedan driven by a 52-year-old woman, Cali said.The back end of the sedan swung around upon impact and hit a 2009 Toyota Tacoma that was also headed south on Nimitz Boulevard at the time, he said, adding the Toyotas driver was a 42-year-old man.
