Car Strikes Pedestrian, Hits Orlando Building

Police say a person died in a one-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on an Orlando highway. A pedestrian was also critically injured in the incident. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Colonial Drive and Shine Avenue Avenue. Investigators say a medical incident may have caused the accident. “What we are being told by several witnesses on scene (is) that the driver of the vehicle may have had some type of medical incident that caused him to lose control of his vehicle,” said Lt. James Young of the Orlando Police Department.
