Crews are on the scene of a fire that broke out at a triple-decker on Thornton Street. Firefighters battled the fire in extremely icy conditions, with up to two inches of ice, slush and running water covering the road. All three floors of the residence have been heavily damaged by the fire, with the roof also collapsing. Crews are inside the building assessing the damage, as the fire appears to be out. The road is still closed off, mostly in part due to the ice and personnel that is still on the scene.
