Icy Conditions In Connecticut Causing Crashes

Icy conditions appear to be causing accidents in parts of the state. A tractor trailer slid off the highway before dawn on I-84 east in Tolland, and there are reports of rollover crashes in West Hartford and South Windsor. There also is a report of ice outside the Gold building in downtown Hartford. No one was injured in the Tolland crash, which forced the closure of two lanes. The extent of the other injuries isn’t clear. Warmer temperatures over the weekend caused some of the snow to melt, forming puddles that froze overnight.
