At least 1,100 homeowners are cleaning up after the storm Thursday. Thats the latest number of homes damaged, according to the Insurance Dept., after receiving reports from emergency managers across the state. But cleaning up comes with a cost. Gayle Boyer says she closed on her home the day of the storm. Paying for it up front, she was in the process of buying insurance, but didnt have it finalized. "I was playing phone tag with my insurance person and I thought one more day isnt gonna hurt and...oh my goodness," she said.
