A three-alarm fire ripped through a Mount Vernon building Thursday night, causing significant damage to three businesses. The building, located on the corner of Myrtle Street and South Second Street, is home to All City Bail Bonds and two restaurants, Taste of India and Super Pho and Teriyaki. All three businesses were damaged in the fire, according to Kenny Bergsma with the City of Mount Vernon. Bergsma said the fire started at roughly 6:30 p.m. Its unclear where the fire started or what caused it, but Bergsma said everyone was able to safely get out of the building and there are no reported injuries.
