1 Killed, 2 Hurt After Driver Fell Asleep On South Carolina Interstate

Troopers with the SC Highway Patrol said one person was killed and two others were hurt when a driver fell asleep and ran off the road on I-85 North near mile marker 81 in Spartanburg County early Monday morning. Troopers said the crash occurred around 1:08 a.m. A 24-year-old woman from Washington D.C. was driving a 2012 Nissan sedan when troopers said she fell asleep and ran off the road and the vehicle ran off the road and collided with guardrail and a sign post. The driver and a front seat passenger, a male from Clinton, MD, were both hurt and taken to the hospital.
