Stolen Tractor Crashed Into Tucson Homes, Both Condemned

Six residents were displaced after a stolen tractor crashed through two block walls and into two homes in Tucson early Tuesday morning. The wayward vehicle sparked fires in both homes. Things got rolling just before 1 a.m. when the heavy-duty vehicle slammed into a home in the 8700 block of South Desert Rainbow Drive. Three family members managed to escape. When firefighters pulled up, they found the tractor still running in the rear of the home that was full of heavy black smoke . Fire quickly spread to the attic which posed an immediate problem, Tucson Fire Department Capt. Barrett Baker said.
