Fire Displaces Apartment Complex Residents In Phoenix

Seven people were forced from their homes in North Phoenix after a late night fire. It appears that air conditioning units on the roof may be to blame. It happened near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills. Firefighters say people living in the apartment unit could smell smoke. Something was apparently burning for a while but no one could tell where it was coming from. Then several units began filling up with smoke. Five units suffered smoke and water damage, but everyone got out safely. The complex is helping residents who are displaced move in to spare units.
