Massive Fire Guts Commercial Warehouse In Van Nuys

Crews on Thursday extinguished a fire that erupted within a warehouse in Van Nuys. Shortly after midnight, firefighters were sent to the 14900 block of Calvert Street near Kester Avenue for report of a commercial fire, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Upon their arrival, authorities located smoke showing from reThink Environmental, a business that produces lighting, energy and surfacing products, located within a one-story warehouse building. Firefighters said flames quickly spread to a second business, KCK Industries, which provides health care and hygiene products.
