A driver had to be extricated from his car after it was dragged nearly 40 feet by a mail truck early Tuesday morning. The collision occurred on westbound Washington Street near 48th Street at around 2:30 a.m. Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department said the mail truck went to change lanes and collided with a Prius. The car became wedged underneath the truck and was dragged 30 to 40 feet. Both vehicles came to a stop alongside the curb for the light rail. The car became lodged between the light rail curb and the side of the truck.
