Hyundai Sued Over Spontaneously Shattering Sunroofs

An Alabama man is suing Hyundai over claims the company’s panoramic sunroofs spontaneously shatter. Billy Glenn, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class-action lawsuit Dec. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Motor Co., alleging unjust enrichment, breach of express and implied warranties, and violations of California’s consumer protection laws. In the mid-2000s, according to the suit, car manufacturers introduced a substantially larger style of "panoramic" sunroof that spans almost the entire roof of the vehicle.
