Tornado Suspected Cause Of Property Damage In Southwest Georgia

Thousands of people were without power Thursday morning after storms ripped through the metro Atlanta area Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. Police was forced to block Memorial Drive near Daniel Road in southeast Atlanta after a tree fell over the road, taking down power lines with it. Crews are still working to remove that tree from the roadway so commuters can get through for the morning commute. A tree actually fell on to a home on Westminster Way near Emory University in Atlanta. Luckily, no one was injured but it did cause extensive damage to the roof of the home.
