A massive fire at a warehouse complex in Houston Thursday sent towering plumes of black smoke into the air, as firefighters urged people in the area to shelter in place and shut all their windows.The four-alarm fire released hazardous materials into the air in the western part of the city as several structures burned, emergency officials said. Students at a nearby elementary school were evacuated, though police at the Spring Branch Independent School District say all of the children are safe. Local reports identified one of the businesses as Custom Packaging and Filling.
