A jury has awarded $12 million to a man whose routine trip to the doctor ended with paralysis. They also awarded his wife $3 million to care for him. Cris Nelson was a truck driver for Frito Lay before the accident at his doctors office. Like many people, he had to get a physical exam for work. “A lot of people are not aware of how dangerous it is to give blood. It has effected every part of his life,” stated Lloyd Bell, an attorney for the couple.
