The floods that hit central France and Paris last week have caused hundreds of millions of euros of damage, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said. However, the French premier said on Monday the full extent of the damage hasnt been assessed yet. Water levels on the Seine river fell significantly Sunday as rainfall over central France has gradually eased in the past two days, though French authorities are still grappling with the consequences of severe flooding. Mr. Valls said the government has set an extreme emergency fund of tens of thousands of euros to aid the people left homeless after the floods.
