Distracted Driver Plunges Over Pennsylvania Cliff

Authorities say a woman and three children were seriously injured after they car they were in swerved off a Pennsylvania cliff and plunged 150 feet. State police in Fayette County say the 58-year-old woman on a road in the village of Smock at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday with three girls aged 10, 12 and 13. Police said she became "distracted" while going around a left bend and swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle plunged off the cliff, striking several trees before landing and flipping over. Police said all four occupants sustained "major injuries." None were wearing seat belts.
