"At first I thought it might be a tornado type wind," said Charles Furr, owner of Lubbock Auto Auction. But it was straight line winds causing alarm at the Lubbock Auto Auction in the eleven hundred block of East 34th. A fifth wheel travel trailer was tossed, then rolled over a security car and fence before landing on three pick up trucks. No one on the lot was hurt. "That was a blessing," Furr said. "Our full team was out here working when the storm hit. They had maybe about 45 seconds to a minute to get off the lot and get inside the building."
