Volusia County continues to have the highest number of Hurricane Matthew-related insurance claims in the state, with Flagler County ranking fifth. As of Friday, insurance claims filed in Volusia related to the hurricane that pounded the area Oct. 7 totaled 26,664, according to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.Thats more than the two counties with the next highest totals combined: Duval (14,860) and Brevard (11,629). St. Johns was No. 4 with 9,688 claims, while Flagler was No. 5 with 6,161.
