As of Saturday, Connecticut state police have investigated almost 300 accidents, according to the departments Thanksgiving holiday weekend statistics. State police said they increased patrols starting at midnight Wednesday and will continue until 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Troopers are patrolling the roads and highways across the state focusing on drunken driving violations and aggressive drivers, state police said. From midnight Wednesday until 9 a.m. Saturday, state police said they saw 44 DUI arrests, 31 accidents with injuries and one accident with a fatality.
