Fire crews battled flames and subzero temperatures at a Billings car dealer and repair shop Tuesday morning. At about 2:35 a.m. the Billings Fire Department responded to JRs Repair and Import Sales on the 2100 block of Lampman Drive. The business was already engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Crews were not able to enter the structure and took a defensive approach, said Battalion Chief Kevin Johnson. Johnson said the extreme cold weather complicated firefighting efforts. Frigid temperatures present obvious dangers to the firefighters working in them but also can affect water flow and freeze hoses.
