Too Many Accidents On Icy Omaha Roads For Police To Handle

Omaha police are no longer responding to non-injury accidents due to the amount of crashes Tuesday morning. Drivers who are involved in a crash are asked to pull off the road and exchange information. Take things slow Tuesday, as roads are icy and slick. Interstate 29 reopened around 8:45 a.m. after being closed northbound and southbound between Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and Salix, Iowa, for multiple collisions. Officials ask that drivers avoid the area. Traffic is slowing significantly on Highway 75 due to a crash near Chandler Road as icy roads continue to be a factor.
